Monmartin, a preventive health training company, developed a web application to bring health experts directly into the workplace, focusing on improving employee well-being. The app, designed through a UX/UI process involving alternative medicine experts, helps users manage and book in-house workshops and appointments, syncing seamlessly with their mobile calendars to prevent scheduling conflicts. This initiative aims to enhance workplace health by providing employees with tools to manage their time effectively and adopt better postures.

As the founder designer at Monmartin, I was responsible for creating the company’s identity, designing the website, and developing the e-learning app. I also managed the media, motion design, and produced a reportage video to effectively communicate the company’s mission and initiatives.

Problem Statement

Monmartin faced the challenge of improving workplace health for employees, particularly those in physically demanding roles like cashiers, who often struggle with time management and maintaining proper posture. The lack of a streamlined system to book and manage health-focused workshops led to missed opportunities for employees to benefit from expert guidance on preventive health. Additionally, overlapping schedules and forgotten appointments further complicated the situation, reducing the effectiveness of these health initiatives.


The primary goal of the project was to develop a user-friendly application that allows employees to easily manage and book preventive health workshops, ensuring they receive timely support in improving their workplace posture and overall well-being. The app aimed to synchronize with users' mobile calendars to eliminate scheduling conflicts and ensure that employees never miss a session. By providing a seamless experience, Monmartin sought to empower employees to take proactive steps toward better health, ultimately enhancing productivity and reducing work-related health issues.

A clean visual identity, a simple, modern application, using a color palette evoking well-being, stability, confidence and sophistication. An identity that evokes feelings of progress, modernity and sustainability, while exuding a feeling of reliability and confidence.

Design process

User Experience: The UX design began with in-depth research, including interviews and surveys with employees, to understand their specific needs and challenges. Based on these insights, we created user personas and journey maps to guide the design. The focus was on simplifying navigation and ensuring an intuitive flow, with features like easy appointment booking, calendar synchronization, and real-time notifications. Wireframes were developed to visualize the user journey, followed by iterative testing and feedback to refine the experience.

User Interface: The UI design aimed to create a simple, modern application with a clean visual identity. We chose a color palette that evokes well-being, stability, confidence, and sophistication, ensuring that the app not only looks appealing but also promotes a calming and reliable atmosphere. The interface was designed to be uncluttered, with clear typography and intuitive icons, making it easy for users to navigate and perform key actions with minimal effort.

Branding: The branding was seamlessly integrated into the app, aligning with Monmartin's identity, which evokes feelings of progress, modernity, and sustainability. The visual design reinforced the brand’s message of reliability and confidence, using consistent colors, logos, and design elements throughout the app. This cohesive approach ensured that the app not only functioned well but also resonated with the brand’s values, providing users with a unified and trustworthy experience.

Results & Insights

User Engagement: Post-launch, the app saw a significant increase in user engagement, with over 83% of employees regularly booking and attending preventive health workshops. The intuitive design and seamless calendar synchronization led to a +62% reduction in missed appointments compared to previous methods.

Employee Well-being: Surveys conducted after implementation showed a marked improvement in employee satisfaction and well-being. Cashiers reported better posture and reduced strain due to the consistent participation in health workshops, directly linked to the app’s reminders and ease of use.

Time Management: The app’s integration with mobile calendars greatly improved time management among users. Employees appreciated the elimination of scheduling conflicts, which previously led to stress and missed sessions. This resulted in a more organized and efficient work environment.

Brand Perception: The clean visual identity and modern design reinforced Monmartin’s brand image as a forward-thinking and reliable company. Feedback indicated that users felt more confident in the brand’s commitment to their health, viewing the company as a progressive and caring employer.

Scalability & Future Potential: The success of the app has opened opportunities for scalability, with plans to expand its features to other roles and industries. Insights from user feedback will guide the development of additional personalized health content and advanced features like progress tracking, ensuring continued relevance and impact. Overall, the project not only achieved its goals but also provided valuable insights into user behavior and preferences, setting the stage for future enhancements and broader adoption. The business model, originally rooted in a 100% physical approach, has evolved into a hybrid model due to the impact of COVID-19, transitioning to fully remote operations when necessary. This app plays a crucial role in supporting this evolution by offering the flexibility needed to accommodate both in-person and remote workshops, ensuring continuous employee engagement and well-being regardless of the format.
